Projects

• AWS Redshift Data Warehouse

  

  Created a Redshift data warehouse with data scraped from the AWS Registry of Open Data COVID-19 Data Lake. The data is then exported from the data warehouse to create a tableau dashboard. The project uses boto3 and redshift_connector to create and run all services required from python.

• Personal Website

  

  This personal webpage/webfolio project served to assist in my transition from military service and familiarize myself with web frameworks in preparation for my M.S. in Data Science capstone project. The project utilizes Django for the web, Postgres for the Database, Gunicorn for the web server, Nginx for the a proxy server, and the Let's Encrypt Companion for obtaining, managing, and renewing SSL/TLS certificates. Each component was containerized using Docker and deployed on a Linode server. The HTML was modified from HTML5 UP's template and additional CSS was added. Domain and DNS were configured using namecheap.com and Linode.

• Data Copier

  

  A simple data pipline to copy data contained in JSON files to a database (MySQL) and then to another database (Postgres). The goal was to learn to use airflow and docker containers to facilitate ETL/ELT processes.

• Google Data Capstone

  

  This repository contains a data analysis project done for the Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate course offered on Coursera. In this case study, I used data from a fictional high-tech manufacturer of health-focused products for women, Bellabeat. R was chosen for the analysis and visualizations in order to improve upon skills. The goal was to identify trends amongst users and products to guide the marketing strategy with recommendations that could provide the company with opportunities for growth. With such insights, I was able to deliver recommendations, with which the company has developed a marketing campaign aimed at increasing feature usage and the potential for a new integrated product line
